“N’auditions” = not formal auditions! Our Artistic Director needs to hear you sing in order to place you in the right section (soprano, bass, etc.), but everyone is welcome, so long as they agree to abide by our group rules.

1. Fill out the application on the “join us” page (under “Singers”).

2. Once we receive that, we’ll contact you to schedule a n’audition.

3. Please prepare a brief (1-2 minutes) song or song-section from any genre you’d like. Hymns are perfectly acceptable. This should be sung either a cappella, or you should bring a back-up track with your own speaker.

4. You will be asked to sing some vocalizes to determine your range. The artistic director, who is also a singing teacher, will guide you through this simple process.

5. N’auditions take about 5-minutes. You will be singing only for the artistic director and pianist, but our space does not have a waiting room, so there may be a few other people in the space (other singers waiting to sing and the person assisting the director for the afternoon).

6. You’ll be assigned your choral section at the time of the N’Audition.

If you cannot attend n’auditions on either day, please send us an email when you submit your application to see if we can offer you a different time.

Please be sure you have paid your participation Fee—or have it ready for our treasurer when you arrive. Get there at least 10 minutes early so that you’re ready to sing at 6:45pm.

Note: Skilled singers will have enough time to learn the music for our Fall performance, but beginning singers may have to sit the Fall event out.
